Round 10 v Parramatta

Premier Grade Cricket Round 10. Belvidere Cup First Grade After the heatwave conditions, it was a pleasant relief that Saturday was considerably cooler. The Bulldogs took on premiers Parramatta at Old King’s. The home side batted first and cobbled together 286 in good conditions. Nathan McAndrew was right on target as usual with an amazing 2-12 from his 10 unplayable overs. However left arm spinner Ben Taylor grabbed the bowling honours with 6-73 which stunned the not so Electric Eels. Round 9 v Sydney Uni / PGs & Green v Manly

Premier Grade Cricket Round 9 The Bankstown Sports Bulldogs batted first and compiled a handy 231 after the allotted fifty overs at the picturesque Memorial Oval. Sydney Thunder all-rounder Nathan McAndrew was the Bulldogs batting star with a dashing 76. He rattled the pickets 8 times and cleared the fence twice with two massive sixes. He was joined by experienced Chris Ridley and the pair soon got the Dion Bourne scoreboard ticking along at a good tempo. Ridley plundered 67 and thwarted the attack for almost two hours. Nick Carruthers scored 35 and hammered seven sparkling boundaries in his delightful cameo. Sydney Uni replied with 5-235 but it was not as convincing a win as it seems. Forme
