The Bankstown Cricketing world is abuzz with the news that one of its favourite sons – Mark Waugh – has been inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame on the evening of Monday 20th January 2014. Mark said it was a great honour indeed, especially to join brother Steve and the Legends of the Game. Mark was the complete cricketer as an elegant strokemaker, medium pacer and offie plus one of the best fieldsman in the game. Mark always wore number six as a tribute to his great mate Terry Lamb. Bankstown is proud of the fact that Mark always played for Bankstown when available whilst many Test players do not. In fact he was captain of Bankstown's first grade side where he imparted his knowledge to the youngsters. He achieved a unique feat in PGs with his fast mediums when he took a hat-trick  – all bowled. Belinda Clark will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame which is ironic because the pair debuted for Australia a day apart, in 1991. Mark scored 138 vs England and Belinda 104 vs India.
